The Sierra County Arts Council (SCAC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. The SCAC is dedicated to supporting artistic and cultural diversity through community partnerships and providing educational, artistic and cultural opportunities to all Sierra County residents and visitors. Founded in 1996, the Arts Council’s inception was to facilitate the construction of Las Palomas Fountain ceramic sculpture in downtown Truth or Consequences. Since then, the SCAC has created and supported numerous arts-related events and projects benefiting the communities in Sierra County, New Mexico and attracting visitors from all over the region.
