Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the New Mexico State University Art Museum intersects art, research, and community-engaged practices to reimagine the power of our place. The museum is home to a permanent collection of modern and contemporary visual art and houses the country’s largest collection of Mexican retablos. It facilitates educational programming that engages Southern New Mexico communities and aligns with the teaching missions of New Mexico State University. The UAM envisions a world where art, artists, and creative expression are integral to a holistic understanding of an equitable society.
