The exhibition opening at RioBravoFineArt for September’s Second Saturday Art Hop features work by the Border Artists. The Border Artists is a longstanding group of twenty Southern New Mexico artists. This show will feature work by all twenty artists and will include paintings, photographs, sculptures, jewelry, and distinctive art pieces, showcasing some of their most recent artwork. This show represents a unique opportunity to see a wide range of exceptional work in one exhibition.
Members of the Border Artists strive individually to keep their artwork fresh and to explore new artistic concepts. The members of the Border Artists have a goal of working collectively to make art an integral part of their local communities. Members of the group work to ensure that the visual arts and other art forms receive broad public attention and are supported by public resources in their local communities.
September Art Hop marks the beginning of the fall through spring visitor and art season in Truth or Consequences. This year, September Art Hop coincides with a special three-day celebration, September 12-14, marking the 75th anniversary of the famous change of the city’s name from Hot Springs to Truth or Consequences. There will be a variety of special events, including the giveaway of gift vouchers on-air and during live broadcasts by radio stations in Southern New Mexico. The giveaway is sponsored by the businesses of Truth or Consequences. For its contribution, RioBravoFineArt is offering a gift voucher good toward any single purchase at the gallery.
Because of ongoing interest in the nationally recognized show Delmas Howe: The Lithographs, this exhibition will be extended through Sunday, October 26. The Border Artists show continues through Sunday, October 26.
