Lydian Sunday Afternoon Movie

Lydia Art Salon has shifted from being “just” a gallery to an intimate salon setting. Of course the emphasis is still on art. What has changed is how you experience art. We are fully embracing the concept of the slow art movement. One of the ways we would like to curate a culture surrounding art is providing a movie afternoon, chosen by the artist Lydia is showcasing. This event submission aims to get that information out, in hopes to build a community that interacts with the exhibition. The movie chosen this exhibition is The Gleaners and I (French: Les glaneurs et la glaneuse), 2000, by Agnès Varda. An 1867 painting by Jean-François Millet inspired septuagenarian Nouvelle Vague and legendary documentarian Agnès Varda to cross the French countryside to videotape people who scavenge.
