Two flags installed in close proximity, indicative of their twin legacies of insurrection; that of the January 6, 2021, Christian Nationalist attack on the US Capitol; and that of the American Slave Holders Rebellion of the 1860s, more popularly known as the Civil War.

One, the flag of the United States, with a forty-three-word text embroidered in the red stripes.

The other, the flag of the Confederate States, repeatedly boiled in calcium hydrosulfite and exposed to sunlight over a four-year period.

Both flags are framed as if presented in a museum of American history.

Other works will occupy the space, adding detail and fire.
