The Roswell Symphony Orchestra: America 250
The Roswell Symphony Orchestra is back from summer break and preparing a tribute to the country’s 250th anniversary to launch its latest musical season.
On Sept. 26, the RSO will present America 250, a concert program honoring the signing of the Declaration of Independence with patriotic pieces from various eras. Audiences can look forward to hearing compositions by Aaron Copland, George Gershwin and John Philip Sousa, plus a medley of U.S. military branch songs and an invitation to sing along with the symphony to an arrangement of America, the Beautiful.
“There’s only one 250th birthday year, so this is our chance to celebrate this very special occasion,” RSO Music Director Dr. John Farrer says. “Come and enjoy it. It’s all very enjoyable, beautiful, well-composed, accessible music, and the orchestra and I will be having a good time as well.”

Tickets for Sept. 26 are available for purchase online at roswellsymphony.org or at the door and range in price from $20 to $35. Students attend all symphony concerts free of charge.
