Rita Bard is a Santa Fe-based interdisciplinary artist working in drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. Using cast-off materials with humor and paradox, she examines shared psychological perspectives. She has exhibited nationally at venues including CCA Santa Fe, Ely Center of Contemporary Art (New Haven), and EDGE ZONES (Miami), and in 2015 initiated Santa Fe’s first “Art’s Birthday” event. Raised in Kentucky and trained in Germany, Bard holds a BFA from Maine College of Art and maintains an active midtown Santa Fe studio.
