Opening: Sunrise and Flint: Contemporary Native American Art

Join us on Friday, 31 July 2026, from 5–7 p.m. for the opening reception of Sunrise and Flint: Contemporary Native American Art, an exhibition of works by eleven contemporary Indigenous artists that posit Earth as collaborator and historical archivist. Inspired by Joy Harjo’s poem “The Everlasting,” the exhibition brings together works that explore history, land, memory, and resilience through Native perspectives. Across painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and sound, the exhibition considers colonial histories while imagining renewal, repair, and interconnected futures as the United States marks its 250th anniversary.
