Santa Fe Indian Market 2025: Remarkable
Opening reception: Friday, August 15, 2:00–3:00 pm
New works in clay by Nancy Youngblood (Santa Clara), Chris Youngblood (Santa Clara), Jennifer Tafoya (Santa Clara), Sergio Lugo (Santa Clara), and Joseph Youngblood-Lugo (Santa Clara). Remarkable begins with a special hour showing to celebrate the ceramic works of Nancy Youngblood and her family. This gathering of family and creative kinship promises dynamic new visions grounded in ancestral techniques.
This show features new work by over 10 of the premiere native ceramic artists working today, including Tammy Garcia (Santa Clara), Les Namingha (Hopi-Tewa/Zuni), Autumn Borts-Medlock (Santa Clara), Stephanie Tafoya (Santa Clara), Jeff Suina (Cochiti), Jared Tso (Dine), Daniel Begay (Dine/Santa Clara), Robert Patricio (Acoma), Dolores Curran (Santa Clara), Steve Lucas (Hopi-Tewa), Santiago Romero (Cochiti), Susan Folwell (Santa Clara), Chase Kahwinhut Earles (Caddo), Kwani Povi Winder (Santa Clara), and Mavasta Honyouti (Hopi).
“It’s a remarkable moment to have such a diverse and important group of Native artists together on one gallery in one afternoon with creative new work, says King Galleries owner Charles King. “Pottery remains one of the great cultural Native arts and has found its place as fine art. From younger to established artists, the gallery brings them together this year to celebrate creativity in clay.”
Art enthusiasts, collectors, and supporters of Indigenous arts are invited to attend these events and celebrate the enduring artistry and cultural significance of Pueblo creative traditions.
