EXHIBIT/208 announces our new one person show by our director/curator, Kim Arthun titled 2025. Using the name of the project that has transformed our country in ways never imagined and has brought chaos on a level never imagined. 2025 will go down in history as an iconic date that will be remembered as a time of division, hurt, hatred and lying that we are all trying to manage in our daily lives as best we can. The show became a welcomed diversion from the daily chaos.
These works are not realistic depictions but rather abstract illustrations of feelings of a particular day or moment, much like a journal. Collage is an interesting medium combining the aspects of long term finding and collecting unrelated scraps to be used at a later time. The collecting can be done over years but the making of a finished collage can be done in hours. This allows Kim to dig deep in his scrap archives for colors, textures, images that resonate with the artist that day.
