Legacy Galleries proudly announces its latest exhibition, Forever West, a vivid celebration of Western art and its enduring influence on our shared imagination.

This highly anticipated show gathers ten of the best and most celebrated artists working within the Western genre today —John Moyers, Terri Kelly Moyers, Bill Anton, Jason Rich, Jeremy Winborg, Kyle Polzin, G. Russell Case, Rachel Brownlee, Martin Grelle, and Chad Poppleton. The gallery will host a special opening reception with most of the artists in attendance.

From sweeping landscapes that echo with the vastness of the open plains, to striking portraits that reveal the faces and stories of the characters who inhabit the Western region, each of these artists brings a distinctive vision and statement to the exhibition. As the paintings of these ten artists is very much in demand right now, all work will be sold by draw during the opening night reception.

Brownlee is a charcoal artist who works in large sizes and creates iconic images of the American West, including horses, saddles, cowgirls, landscapes and children. She is largely self-taught and was working in ranches before she decided to pick up a pencil professionally.

“I always liked drawing horses and that was the only thing I really knew about,” says Brownlee. “I had heard of Leonardo da Vinci and Tim Cox, because our local cow sale barn gave out Tim Cox calendars every year. Those were the only real forms of art I saw.”
