Fair/Festival: Tsali Hall and Palace Jewelers Pop Up

December 11December 13

Celebrated Native American jewelry expert Tsali Hall, who runs Palace Jewelers inside Manitou Galleries just off the historic plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico, will visit Scottsdale for a special Pop-Up of contemporary and historic Native American jewelry, December 11-13 at Legacy Gallery on Main Street in Old Town Scottsdale.

Hall is Dine’ and Tsalagi and has spent the last twenty-five years living in Santa Fe, New Mexico and working in the Native jewelry business. He is known to be an expert in the field, especially when it comes to turquoise, and his videos on social media have garnered hundreds of thousands of views over the past year. His articles about Native jewelry have appeared in such magazines as Art of the West and Native American Art Magazine.

Hall, who grew up in Gallup, New Mexico, is a jeweler himself and is known for his stylish felt hats, long braid and colorful western-themed shirts. Native jewelry collectors from around the world love to visit Tsali at Palace Jewelers in Santa Fe and seek his advice and listen to him discuss the history of turquoise, intimate aspects of Native American jewelry and trends in the market.

“I grew up in Gallup, going between Zuni and Gallup, and my grandfather was a jeweler but he was also a celebrated medicine man and leader for the Navajo people,” says Hall. “So, I was raised understanding the healing properties of jewelry and gemstones and what they mean to indigenous people.”
