Exhibition Opening: The Conditions of Seeing

The 2026 CENTER Award Winners use photography to investigate the conditions under which people, places, and selves become visible. Across landscape, portraiture, staged tableaux, diaristic image-making, and socially engaged practice, their work considers how seeing is shaped by political systems, inherited histories, environmental change, cultural assumptions, relationships, memory, and care. Artists include Marcus DeSieno, Anna Mia Davidson, Leonard Suryajaya, Peter Teh, Ville Varumo, and Volodymyr Voznyy.
