CHASING TAIL: A Performance by Selby Sohn

Developed during Sohn’s time as PRROBLEM press’s inaugural Artist in Residence in Santa Fe, CHASING TAIL extends the Bay Area-based artist’s ongoing work across wearable sculpture, performance, movement, and writing. Incorporating recorded text, sapphic longing, doubling, and a long tail with a wand vibrator at the end, the performance inhabits the strange social and emotional logic of Sohn’s practice—playful, awkward, unruly.

Sohn’s practice uses the body as both material and site, bringing handmade objects and garments into unexpected physical relationships.
