Cash and Carry: Prints for the People

Friday Oct. 9th 5-7pm Artists reception and sale of letterpress work created by Tender- Press and Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr.
A self-described “humble negro printer,” Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr., is internationally recognized for his type-driven messages of social justice and Black power, emblazoned in rhythmically layered and boldly inked prints made for the masses.
Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. is the Featured artist at this year’s SW Print Fiesta.
Tender-Heart Press was founded by E. “Oscar” Maynard in 2017 in Oakland, CA. Oscar makes letterpress posters rooted in heart wisdom, collective healing, and liberatory spellwork.
Both artists will be showing and selling letterpress handbills and posters, hand created with an eye towards color, exuberant design and for the people.
