This year, having crossed the twelve year mark, we pushed to expand the call to artists to all four corners of New Mexico. We are pleased to have entries from fourteen cities, from east to west and north to south. Over sixty artists are represented in this year’s exhibition, from Silver City to Taos, Albuquerque to San Jon.

New Mexico Painters Exhibition is open to all painters of traditional and nontraditional subject matter. The entries represent an extremely wide range of artistic skill and ability. In selecting work for the exhibit the jury was looking for over-all artistic excellence. The major goal of the New Mexico Painters Exhibition is to both encourage and challenge New Mexico artists to continuously strive for artistic excellence.

• Angie Chandler (Director of Learning and Engagement, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum)
