Opening on the anniversary of his passing, this memorial exhibition gathers a selection of landscape paintings in oil on canvas and panel by Paul Steiner (September 11, 1951–August 7, 2025). In these works, creek, meadow, canyon, and stand of trees become more than places: they are moments of attention held against time, where light settles softly upon the land and the ordinary world is made luminous. Painted with humility, tenderness, and an abiding faith in looking, Steiner’s landscapes remain as enduring as the paths and waters they depict—an elegy, a celebration, and a lasting testament to a life devoted to seeing.
