Beyond The Frame: Personal Projects by Veterans
On view: January 10–February 14, 2026
Opening reception: Saturday, January 10, 5:00-8:00 pm
Experience an evening of powerful photography and heartfelt storytelling as CPAC celebrates the work of 24 Colorado military veterans. These artists spent six months developing personal photo projects that reflect resilience, hope, healing, and the search for meaning beyond military service. Their photographs—ranging from intimate portraits to vivid explorations of nature, family history, and identity—offer a look into lives shaped by service and transformed through creativity.
Come support local veterans, connect with community, and be moved by artwork that speaks with honesty, courage, and resilience. All are welcome!
The Veterans Workshop Series is an annual arts education program presented by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center in partnership with the Veterans Arts Council at VFW Post 1. This exhibition showcases photography by eight veterans who completed the 2025 Series, along with 16 alumni who continue to pursue photography professionally.
