No Man’s Land Gallery presents a selection of recent prints by Marina Ancona.

Marina Ancona is a printmaker working at the intersection of collaboration and personal exploration. As the founder and master printer of 10 Grand Press, she works closely with artists to bring their visions to life through print. At the same time, maintaining a dedicated studio practice rooted in the traditions of printmaking while pushing its boundaries through experimentation and intuition.

In both facets of her work, she values an interdisciplinary approach that honors the craft of printmaking while allowing for spontaneity and discovery. The work often centers on monotype—a process that mirrors the immediacy and unpredictability of thought. Using color, form, surface, and repetition to reveal the vulnerability of the handmade. Each print is a site of exploration, where layering color becomes a gesture of intuitive surprise—impossible to replicate.

Ancona’s visual language is deeply influenced by her Mexican and Brazilian heritage, where memory is held in material, shape, and land. These elements inform a tactile system of looking, organizing, and constructing prints that suggest infinite variations in color and surface. In this way, her work becomes both a study of form and a practice of remembrance.
