The Railyard Park Conservancy’s Railyard Art Project (RAP) is now accepting proposals for temporary public art installations and creative projects in Santa Fe’s Railyard Park + Plaza. Thanks to generous funding from Santa Fe’s Arts and Culture Commission, RAP will be hosting two projects between October 2025 and June 2026, with each project receiving a $3,000 honorarium, as well as marketing support and liability insurance.
The RAP Committee encourages collaboration across disciplines (art, science, history, etc.) and welcomes thoughtful, challenging, playful and edifying art in the context of social and cultural expression and environmental sustainability. Proposed projects must be able to physically withstand outdoor public display, and engage the community by responding to the natural and social landscape of the Railyard Park + Plaza.
Considerations for selection include:
Overall artistic merit
Context and familiarity with the proposed site
Practical viability
Potential for community engagement and cultural/educational enrichment
Artists are invited to complete an online application form on the RPC’s website. General guidelines, as well as detailed maps of the sites available for installation, can be found on the website as well.
