DESCRIPTION:At this 3-day online workshop\, explore the process of transforming delicate flax fiber into beautifully textured paper to create dimensional cast fiber sculpture. \nWe will work with surface embellishment techniques such as mark-making or stitching adding depth\, color\, and textured surfaces. \nIn this immersive\, process-focused 3-day workshop\, participants will acquire valuable methods for constructing sturdy yet flexible moulds using materials like wire mesh and plaster cloth\, wire constructions\, or natural materials such as twigs and vines\, perfectly suited for handmade paper applications.
