SUMMARY:Exhibition Opening: Light: An Invitational Exhibition\, curated by Tim Kapustka
DESCRIPTION:Light is widely regarded as a sacred symbol of divinity\, purity and truth across many religions and spiritual traditions. Light can refer to wisdom\, goodness and even life itself. A simple concept with enormous weight and breadth. So too\, for an artist\, light is holy. The illumination of our inspirations can be as important as the creation itself. \nLight is the language of the artist. \nIn these seemingly all encompassing and weighty times\, Light is also the counterpoint to heavy. Lightness and levity level and lessen the gloom\, shrinking it and making it manageable\, while serving as tactics to erode its power. Light wins. \nIt is with these thoughts that Studio & Gallery invited 30 artists to step out of the darkness and celebrate the sacred and mighty and join us in honoring Light in a group invitational exhibit at Studio & Gallery. \nArtists to include:\nMariah Kaminsky • David Holub • Jenn Rawling • Lorna Meaden • Holly Hagan • Miki Harder • Leesa Zarinelli Gawlik • David Butler • Milt Beens • Annie Brooks • Crystal Hartman • Elizabeth Kinahan • Mary Ellen Long • Jacob Brooks • Tim Kapustka • Joe Schafer • Erik Maxson • Jed Webster Smith • Ilze Aviks • Louisa Palmer • Bill Grimes • Dan Groth • Juanita Nelson • Scott Dye • Maureen May • Noah Stotz • Shawn Lotze • Patricia Davidson • Ernie Rheaume • George Schmidt \nEmail
