DESCRIPTION:Please join Curate Santa Fe for an opening celebration for Rubberneck\, the works of Zach Taylor at Iconik Lena. \nZach Taylor is a mixed-media artist focusing on serious topics through a lens of humor. He works primarily with glass/gas and photographic mediums.The Rubberneck series is an introspective tour via snapshots depicting a surrealist vision of various identities. In doing this\, each of Zach’s “monsters” are the masks worn\, and modeled\, by different acquaintances throughout his life. As an observer and a curator\, this series makes no judgement\, but stares with an exaggerated curiosity at the characters in our lives. With this collection\, Zach uses Gum Bichromate printing and individually hand-crafted masks to emphasize this surrealist and subconscious experience with a stylized whimsy.
