The main exhibition of this multi-city program that celebrates Arizona’s Black artists opens Monday, Feb. 2, in Sedona Arts Center’s Special Exhibition Gallery, with an artists’ reception on Friday, Feb. 6, from 4-6 p.m. “Vision & Sound” explores themes of identity, resilience and cultural legacy through a range of mediums and perspectives. From painting, sculpture and ceramics, to fiber arts and digital media, the exhibition highlights both traditional and contemporary approaches that reflect the depth of African American artistic expression. Featured artists include Antoinette Cauley, Jacqueline Chanda, Lizz Denneau, Alberto Devon, Amber Doe, Debra Edgerton, Chas Frisco, Vianca Gray, Khandra Howard, Isse Maloi, Bob Martin, Shoreigh Williams and Larry Wilson (in memoriam).
