Out of Time: Imagining the Future of America is the third and final exhibition in Union Hall’s 2025 Rough Gems Curatorial Program series. Join us for the free, public opening reception on March 27, 6-8 pm.
Curated by J. Benjamin Burney, Out of Time: Imagining the Future of America examines how artists who work in painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography, envision speculative futures while grappling with America’s complex past. Through the power of visual representation, these works challenge historical narratives, question societal norms, and propose bold new realities. Across a range of media, the exhibition touches on the rich diversity of cultures and movements across America; such as Civil Rights, Indigenous sovereignty, and Afro-Latinx liberation.
Artists include LEANA, Kaylee Bender, Monaeism, Sergio Noé Perez Reyes, yvens Alex saintil, and Derrick Hinton.
Out of Time will be on view through April 19, 2025. Union Hall’s gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 12 – 6 pm. Learn more at UnionHallDenver.org.
