Lost & Found: An Analog Forever Magazine Exhibition
opening reception: Friday, October 11, 6-9 pm
on view: October 11–November 23, 2024
Lost & Found, curated by Michael Behlen and Michael Kirchoff of Analog Forever Magazine, is an exhibition where thirty-five photographic artists have created their art using traditional, historical, and alternative methods often overlooked in today’s digital environment. These works reveal the artists’ hands and encompass the passion behind creating photographs that fulfill their innermost thoughts, dreams, and desires.
CPAC is also hosting an in-person panel discussion on Saturday, October 12, at 2 pm titled “Why Analog?” with Behlen, Kirchoff, Carol Golemboski, Professor of Photography at the University of Colorado Denver, and local exhibiting artists Mark Sink and Michael Ash Smith. The panel will be moderated by Samantha Johnston, CPAC’s Executive Director and Curator. The event is free and open to the public.
Founded in 2018 as a passion project by four friends, Analog Forever Magazine has become the world’s premier journal of contemporary film and analog photography. The magazine provides a global audience to established and emerging photographers who use analog processes and techniques for their photographic work by giving them a voice via a biannual print photography journal, online features and interviews, book reviews, and online exhibitions.
