Graphite & Gizmology

Artist Steve Storz will exhibit Graphite & Gizmology, a wide array of his artwork encompassing drawings, paintings, and steel and electronic sculpture. An opening reception is planned for Saturday, August 6, 3-7 pm.

Steve Storz has been a career artist for more than 40 years, much of it in Northern New Mexico where he has let the raw, quirky energy of the Southwest enhance his work.

“Taos, in particular, is an iconoclast to the art world in general, and helps us to think more variedly about what creativity really is, and I’m proud to be showing with Bareiss Gallery,” says Storz.

Various media have remarked Steve Storz as “gizmologist,” “techno-sculptor,” having “mad scientist sensibilities,” (his mark) “scurries across surfaces and builds impossible organisms.”
