The Mad Hatter Gallery will showcase the protest art of Silver City artist Franky DeAngelis from December 4 to December 27, with an opening reception on December 6, from 5 to 8 pm. The exhibition is a retrospective of how one artist has used art to process, mourn, and protest a wide range of themes and events that we continue to grapple with, such as patriarchy, human rights, and the environment. The exhibition is curated by Mary Diesel, an independent curator and artist based in Las Cruces.
The Mad Hatter Gallery is located at 221 N. Main St., in the downtown historic district of Las Cruces. The gallery’s hours are Wednesday through Friday, 11 am to 5 pm, Saturday, 10 am-3 pm, and by appointment. The gallery can be reached via email at Themadhattergallery@gmail.com
