Cultural Fusion – The Art of Virginia Maria Romero is a multimedia solo exhibition exploring America’s native wild dog, the coyote, on view January 16–February 28, 2026.
Featuring image, text, and sound, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the often unseen bonds between humans and wildlife. Through depictions of coyotes, Romero focuses less on physical features and more on how encounters with them resonate on an emotional level. “When I paint coyotes, I try not to paint what I remember—their features,” Romero said, “but how they affected me. I’m painting the primal connection we share with everything on the planet.”
The exhibition features original digital canvas-wrapped prints, poetry, books authored by Romero, and on opening night, January 18, live drumming by Romero and Karuna Warren.
