DESCRIPTION:Join Deborah C. Slaney as she reflects upon the link between Silver Honors Stones: The Work of Julian Lovato and the celebration of Route 66. Between 1926 and 1937 New Mexico’s Mother Road ran straight through Santo Domingo Pueblo\, the home of young jeweler Julian Lovato. Join Deb Slaney as we explore how Lovato’s life as a jeweler intersected with Route 66\, especially during his employment at Maisel’s Trading Post\, the Thunderbird Shop\, and other establishments in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. \nEvent takes place in the Library and Collections Building. Advanced registration required ($15 for non-members and free to members).
