DESCRIPTION:The author is a would-be emergent\, unlicensed word-worker\, from an underrepresented group of one\, toiling in the hinterlands of New Mexico\, seeking to verify his existence by the elicitation of a ping\, and hoping to establish a larger audience than that of his imaginary dog and the few friends who encourage his ongoing efforts. This is a first book.
Harder things get\, the more one finds to laugh about\, the theater of humor expanding to the limits of suffering.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community-centered literary event exploring the theme of displacement. \nPresented by Alchemy Author Services\, in collaboration with Matter Books\, (UN)SEEN Frames of Quiet Witness\, and RedLine Contemporary Art Center. \nJoin us for a community-centered literary event exploring the theme of displacement: through eviction\, migration\, institutional shutdowns\, and the erosion of community spaces. \nLocal writers will read selected works engaging these tensions\, offering perspectives that move between personal narrative and collective experience. \nThe evening will also feature two poets from the(UN)SEEN exhibition currently on display at RedLine\, with additional participation from community partners\, including Matter Books. \nThe Sumud Artist Collective\, the curators behind the (UN)SEEN exhibition\, will have prints to purchase at the event\, with all proceeds going to benefit the Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance. \nThis gathering is intended as both a reading and a space for connection\, reflection\, and awareness\, with opportunities to engage with and support local organizations doing critical work in the community. \nReaders include:\nSuzi Q.
