SUMMARY:Cary Morin Duo House Concert
DESCRIPTION:Cary Morin Duo House Concert\nSaturday\, November 14\, 6 pm to 8 PM\nkind of a small array\n505 Spruce\nMagdalena\, New Mexico\n$20 per person\, call or text 210 473 9062 to reserve your seats \nDescribed as “one of the best pickers on the scene today\,” Cary Morin brings together the great musical traditions of America like no other. With deft fingerstyle guitar and vocals that alternately convey melodic elation and gritty world-weariness\, Morin crafts an inimitable style often characterized as roots-infused Native Americana with hints of bluegrass\, folk\, blue\, and rock. He has performed at renowned venues across the globe\, including the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center\, and is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades. \nDavid Bromberg remarks\, “Cary Morin is a unique and brilliant guitar player\, songwriter and singer. As a guitar player\, I have respect for Cary’s style and technique…if you haven’t heard him yet\, you should. Try to remember that it’s only one guitar.” Music critic Bill Hurley writes\, “His guitar skill is jaw-dropping\, his voice is warm\, worn of world experience\, and his songwriting allows both of those things to flourish and captive ate anyone in the room.” \nAlong with his life partner\, Celeste Di lorio\, together they form the Cary Morin Duo. Celeste has her own history in the world of performance\, having been involved in dance\, theater\, and music for many years. She is a vocalist and\, as she would say\, “a strummer on guitar.” Celeste has played and sung with Cary for over 11 years. \nSays Hills Snyder: “I’ve been hoping for the moment when the Cary Morin Duo can play at my venue for years\, going back to the time when Caralyn and I hosted music in San Antonio\, TX at Wolverton Home Concerts.
