How can we create a dialogue between masses we call furniture/sculpture and our own bodies in program and utility? How can we refocus ourselves within our spiritual bodies and thus our perception of comfortability in time, space, and mind?
These are two questions commonly asked throughout Rigales’s work. Luis Diego Rigales (he/him) is a local/Santa Fe, Latino artist working in many mediums of sculpture, furniture, and performance art. He holds a bachelor of architecture from The University of New Mexico while also studying sculpture under Welly Fletcher.
