Union Hall Art Space in downtown Denver is excited to team up with Sacred Voices for Unraveled Narratives: Creative Showcase happening at Union Hall on August 3, from 7-9 pm. Aligned with Union Hall’s current exhibition, The Center Cannot Hold, this creative showcase aims to capture the essence of themes like instability, fragmentation, and the search for equilibrium echoed in William Butler Yeats’ poem, “The Second Coming.” Four performance artists will transform memories and topics of loss and violence into expressions of beauty, art, and transformation.
This is an all-ages event. Light snacks and beverages will be provided! $10 tickets are available online, prices go up to $15 per person at the door. Performers will be announced soon!
About The Center Cannot Hold
Fitz J. Lewis, Sara Rockinger, and Stephanie Mercedes engage with themes of gun violence, war, and cultural conditioning. Featuring a combination of performance, sculpture, and textile art, the collection of works questions societal norms, explores personal experiences and challenges the glorification of guns and war in our culture. The exhibition critically examines these issues and attempts to transform symbols of violence and loss into expressions of beauty, art, and transformation.
