Tribute to Jeff Warren
November 4, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Gallery ABQ presents the November 2022 Salon Show Tribute to Jeff Warren. Jeff, who was a member of RGAA and The Gallery ABQ, died August 30, 2022.The Gallery ABQ is featuring his dramatic and fanciful work as part of the First Friday reception in the salon on November 4, 2022, from 5-8 pm. Join us as we pay tribute to the life and styles of Jeff Warren, including photo-realism, surrealism, portraits of children, and still life, all with an expression of Jeff’s sense of humor. One can also see glimpses of Jeff’s 25-year acting career in the drama of his paintings.
Jeff’s ideas came from everywhere, including dreams. For example, the phrase “fork in the road,” captured his imagination, and was the spark for a new painting. When asked, “What do you like most about your painting style?” Jeff said, “Clarity. I like realism. I am careful and deliberate with my brush stroke and my choice of color. The artist was a big fan of Salvador Dali, and some of Jeff’s paintings are a tribute to him. These include “Hello, Dali,” “Dali’s Bar and Grill,” and “The Garden of Salvadore Dahlia.” Jeff was also inspired by artists such as Maxfield Parrish, Vincent van Gogh, and Johannes Vermeer.
Jeff’s family has generously donated his collection to The Gallery ABQ. The Gallery will be offering these paintings to the public at the Reception on November 4, 2022, at reduced cost. Jeff will be missed by all. Come by and purchase your very own oil painting by Jeff Warren.
Other artists in the salon will be Marlies Diels (new clay creations) and Lauren Deyo (a fresh perspective). In the main gallery, the Featured Artists are Linda Weiss (fused glass) and Marcy Bouchelle (mixed media/watercolor). The reception is Nov 4, 2022, from 5-8 pm at The Gallery ABQ, 8210 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Sponsored by Tractor Brewing.
