The Secret Comedy of Women is a two-hour comedy that features sketches and improvisation along with other comedic vignettes, all focusing on womanhood. The show was inspired by the two authors’ real-life childhood diaries and written around the themes of growing up, getting older and laughing at life as a female. The Secret Comedy of Women is a variety show – there’s improv, sketch comedy, audience participation, multimedia elements, characters and non-fiction memoirs. Since its initial two-year run at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, over a quarter of a million women have seen the show across North America.
