STRESS and COFFEE: A 24 hour play festival

Performance March 9, 2019 at 7 pm in the LRH. Free of charge

On Friday March 8, at 5:00 pm, 5 names will be randomly drawn from a hat – these are the playwrights. The writing process begins at the school at 7:00 pm and the playwrights write all night long, with the help of a teacher mentor.

On Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m, 5 randomly selected directors (again the names are down from a hat) arrive and get a one-hour directing workshop with Mr. Chavez. At 9:00 a.m. the actors interested in auditioning for these plays, arrive at school and auditions are held. Rehearsals begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 7:00 pm. The doors are then opened to the public, who will view these five fully staged plays that did not exist 24 hours before!
