Stitches in Time: Karen Hampton and Deborah Benioff Friedman

Karen Hampton’s evocative narrative textile art will be exhibited along with Deborah Benioff Friedman’s abstract sewn paper and fabric works at Pasqual’s Gallery in Santa Fe commencing October 7, with a reception at the gallery on Friday, October 7, 4-7 pm.

Hampton is a narrative fiber artist/anthropologist/storyteller and newly minted American Craft Council Fellow, associate professor at MassArt, and a New Mexico artist.

Benioff Friedman comes from a family of doctors and scientists and was inspired by her late father, a noted ophthalmologist who was also a skilled sculptor. She lives and works in Walnut Creek, California, and has exhibited widely. She is also a founding member of the Stone Soup Project collaborative art group.
