Spandex Bodies and Identity Cheerleaders

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Farmington based artist, Rosemary Meza-DesPlas will perform a spoken word performance Spandex Bodies & Identity Cheerleaders on Tuesday, March 8, at 7 p.m., in the Connie Gotsch Theater.

Meza-DesPlas explores gender, sexuality, identity and socio-political topics in her spoken word performances. This performance will be comprised of original poems and select works by women poets. Emphasis will be given to intersectionality in honor of International Women’s Day 2022. Meza-DesPlas will move through varying tempos and characters to create a performance made up of frank and touching vignettes.
