Silver City Red Dot Studio Tour

September 2, 2022 - September 4, 2022

Meet Silver City Artists in their Studios!

Announcing the Silver City Art Association Studio Tour weekend on September 2, 3, and 4th.

Bright RED DOTS will mark open studios. Follow the map included in the official RED DOT Studio Tour brochure. It will feature descriptions of the work to be found at each studio, hours, and other enticing information.

Brochures can be obtained at each studio, or gallery, or picked up at RED DOT Tour headquarters: Light Art Space in downtown Silver City. The Flash Gallery at Light Art Space is also the site of the Studio Tour Kick-off Reception on Friday, Sept 2, from 5-7 pm. Enjoy classical guitar by Aaron Lewis. Refreshments will be served.

The exchange between artists and visitors makes the annual Studio Tour rich and unique. Visiting artists in their creative space gives insight into different media, processes, and methods each artist has in applying their techniques. It is also a chance to discover some areas around Grant County that artists discovered before you. Follow the map down country roads, along scenic byways, as well as historic downtown Silver City, finding studios where you love the art!

This year’s tour includes new to Grant County artists, as well as those for whom New Mexico has been their long-term base & muse. Experience a variety of art: functional & narrative clay work, blacksmithing, woodwork, paintings in diverse media including beeswax, photography, montage, sculpture, digital, and fiber works.

You may learn more about the artists and the Silver City Art Association on the webpage: https://www.silvercityart.com

Hours for the RED DOT Studio Tour are:
Friday, Sept. 2 – Reception at Light Art Space 5-7
Saturday, Sept. 3 – Tour 10-5
Sunday, Sept. 4– Tour 11-4
