A showcase of young filmmakers, curated by Nina Shoenfeld. Experiments in Cinema Youth Lens program is a showcase of young filmmakers, from New Mexico and beyond. Throughout the year, Albuquerque-based film non-profit Basement Films brings educational programs to schools around New Mexico with the goal of inspiring new generations of homegrown film artists to recognize the value of their media voices, and to participate in shaping future trends in cultural representations. The Youth Lens program features films made by students from not only Albuquerque and New Mexico, but from around the world. This year’s selections seek to create cultural, creative, and educational cross-pollination amongst the youngest participants in Experiments in Cinema.
