Basement Films is hosting a screening of 16mm film prints from the Basement Films Archive at Fourteenfifteen Gallery.
The Basement Films Archive is the largest film collection of its kind in the Southwest, consisting of thousands of donated and salvaged 16mm and 8mm motion picture films. The collection contains educational films, industry films, short films, feature films, home movies, documentaries, church films, social justice films, artist films, and more from the 1940’s through the 1980’s.
This event is also an opportunity to see Lindsay Stribling’s installation, Ruminate, next door. Stribling’s installation features a number of analogue projector-based kinetic sculptures.
