Philip Deloria is the School for Advanced Research’s 2023-2024 Katrin H. Lamon Fellow. He is the Leverett Saltonstall Professor of History at Harvard University.
In The Year the Stars Fell Dr. Deloria explores the material history of an event—the extraordinary meteor storm of November 1833—that revealed shared uncertainties concerning faith, spirit, nature, and the production of knowledge in various communities across North America.
