Santa Fe Premiere of Indigenize the Plate

Filmmaker Natalie Benally (Diné) travels from New Mexico to a Quechua community in Peru to learn how they are addressing the link between food sustainability and cultural sustainability for Indigenous communities. After the film, Natalie Benally and director Ernie Zahn will be present for a discussion about their work and experiences making the film.

This event is part of the School for Advanced Research’s American Identities mini-festival illuminating diverse human experiences in the U.S. through lectures, music, film, and discussion. The event is co-presented with the Center for Contemporary Arts.
