ROUGH IDEA
NOTES FROM MAGDALENA – Michael Bisbee and Judy Richardson, both transplants from NYC to Magdalena NM, respond to living in the high desert mountains in their separate ways. Bisbee responds to the ever present sky/ground dichotomy with a range of imagery from implied to explicit. Richardson responds by transforming found objects and materials into abstract sculptures about her personal experiences. Her drawings are a visual account of her bicycle adventures through the hills and arroyos.
