Robin Jones: You Were Born With Wings

I’m a figurative painter with a focus on the natural world and the human impact upon that world, galvanized by the impact of global climate change and the current mass extinction event we are witnessing across the globe. I also focus on issues surrounding social justice using historical figures and characters from plays and novels… I often focus on young people, as they will inherit the planet that we leave them—and they are also among the strongest and most influential voices in the climate change and animal liberation movements. Diversity and inclusion are very important to me as well in visualizing historical figures/characters in new ways, and more representational of the populations in which we live, we see their stories through fresh eyes.
