Kelly Austin-Rolo and Michele Messenger work in the same encaustic medium, but displays distinct styles and approaches to their work. The show title reflects the idea that each viewer brings their own level of interaction, experiences, thoughts and visions to the forefront when engaging with art—much as the artwork itself brings out the inscape of a subject—its unique inner nature or essential quality.

They both are big believers that artwork needs to be out in the world so the right people can find it and look forward to connecting with those people at this show.

Inscape will be on view in the South Gallery, while work by the other 16 NKollectiv artists, along with EASEL studio artists, will be exhibited in other areas throughout EASEL.

Nkollectiv is a curated gallery for local artists that serves as the anchor for EASEL, a dynamic art-focused community hub located in the expansive second-floor space at 3485 S. Broadway in Downtown Englewood. EASEL (Englewood Art Studios, Events and Lessons) includes working-artist studios, a rentable gallery, event and classroom space.
