She had numerous Solo shows in NYC, Massachusetts and Connecticut before she ventured out West. Redmond was a river in Arizona from which she presented her “Watercolors’ series of limited edition prints of intimate images Grand Canyon that were purchased by private collectors. Upon moving to Aspen, Colorado in 1991 her work was shown in Galleries and Art Centers. Since moving to Taos in 2007 her work has been shown in the Thomas Gallery, Taos Center for the Arts, The Harwood Museum and Millicent Rodger’s Museum.
Summary:
Redmond’s photography has evolved from childhood though the evolutionary changes in cameras, processes and films. Now with the advent of digital photography, there is much that personally can be done to alter or enhance an image. For the most part she doesn’t do that. What you see is what she saw and captured. She loves it when all the elements combine and transcends normal reality. Initially she never really understood abstract art. Yet as her sensibilities have progressed, she sees more abstracts in reality and is drawn to capture them.
