Join us on Friday, September 27, from 5 to 7 pm for the opening reception of The Poetics of Growth, an exhibition of new inkwash paintings on wood by Jacks McNamara. In this exhibition, McNamara embellishes the petrified vascular system of trees with ink washes and obsessively applied geometric motifs to create works reminiscent of cell diagrams and abstracted landscapes. Inspired by the ethos of Pagan spirituality, McNamara’s latest body of work uses a synthesis of artistic craft and organic materials to launch an inquiry into our perception of time and how it influences our understanding of change.
