Annual Youth Art Mentoring Exhibition
opening reception: May 17, 5-8 pm
on view: May 17–June 16, 2024.

RedLine’s Youth Art Mentoring and EPIC Arts programs encourage young artists in Denver schools to use art as their voice to speak about issues affecting their communities and their lives.

In this exhibition, you’ll find diverse mediums that inspire the viewer to learn more about social issues, interact with the pieces, and think critically about our experiences from a different perspective. Youth were encouraged to be agents of change in their communities. The exhibition shows what they have to say!

About Youth Art Mentoring
Youth Art Mentoring is an afterschool education program offered through RedLine Contemporary Art Center engaging students in grades 4–12.

This mentor-based program provides youth with a professional artist mentor that meets weekly with students and provides a safe environment for students to explore topics of social justice, self discovery and promote holistic well-being and advocacy through the arts.

About EPIC Arts
EPIC Arts is an artist and wellness professional-led program to enhance social-emotional learning and mental health through the arts and takes place during and after school with a class of students (K–12).

EPIC inspires youth to discover their backgrounds, self advocate, to connect with their peers and to practice social emotional concepts within their art practice.
